Bakunin sent to Grilled a Romanian for no apparent reason in a transfer communicated to the board by long-distance phone. No-one is likely to question the deal though since Mircea Alexe cost a pittance of S$22000, less than two weeks' wages for many of Grilled's stars.

Few could guess what the 26 year old striker can offer. "He looks fast, but other than that he doesn't look much better than a man off the street." a trainer commented.

A little research revealed that Alexe's former club *MoB* released him along with a whole host of players in a fire sale, but just what that meant to Bakunin, if anything, remains unclear. The guy got on tremendously with everyone, hitting it off right away though. "Never seen a guy who could balance an egg on his nose for as long as he did." a chuckling Tim Hobson said.
