Gamma Stadium Renamed The Pot
The board, layers and official supporters' club were on hand to witness the completion of work ceremony on Gamma Stadium in the morning, and wild cheering broke out as the chairman of the board shattered a bottle of champange onto the stadium's expanded North Stand and proclaimed that it would henceforth be known as The Cooking Pot. The S$491000 project was by now but a drop in Grilled Birds' finances, as the club would pull in upwards of S$900000 for a single well-attended home league game. "We have entered a new era." the club's main spokesman intoned. "We are now in the big leagues." Perhaps not the most eloquent speech ever made, but it whipped the faithful into a frenzy as confetti sprayed all around.
