Critics of Grilled coach Marcus Liehner were given more ammunition when it transpired that 37 year-old former rightback Sylweriusz "Sid" Zywczyn, who was sold to Spanish club Morochas for S$1.5 million just four months ago, changed hands again for nearly S$6 million. Grilled gained some S$240 000 from the sell-on clause, but that sum is clearly peanuts compared to the extra four million and change that the club stood to get.

"Who would have thought a Division Eleven club would have such funds?" a visibly irritated Liehner defended himself. "Anyway, we got something out of the deal at least."
