Eagles Have Landed
The dust has settled, and old II.1 rivals Geylang Eagles United have joined Grilled Birds in the S-League for the first time in their history. They went through with a 2-2 away draw to Apostate, which put them out of reach of a chasing Bluedragon while Carpmael Rovers blew their own hopes with a scoreless draw at home.
Geylang though may not be the only ex-series mate to join Grilled in going up, as III.16 opponents Chinatown United topped II.3 by beating F.C EvOlutiOn with an 83rd minute Frank Tullgren goal, edging Anfield Reds on goal difference. They however have to defeat last season's champions Team Singapore in a qualifier, certainly no easy task.
Last but not least are once S-League powerhouses CherNox, who attempt to return after a four season absence. They too have their hands full with a hard customer in Winning Eleven, who despite having an indifferent season by their standards are still one of the teams to beat.
