70 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Henry Hughes was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Nourdin Muijlaert and
Eerikki Sidorov. Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Bao-Tam - Alcántara, Bona, Zywczyn - Spirig, Borup, Abd Hamid, Jie Siong, Olaru - Hjortlind, Kadak.
Reds decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Daler - Pärna, Vegter, Persson - Abreu, Grenholt, bin Othman, bin Mohamed, Boon Dong - Kaspi, Ling-Lai.
Fong Boon Dong has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 9 minutes into the match. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 14 minutes played, but
Jaan Kadak's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Grilled had a good opportunity to take the lead as
Ulf Hjortlind came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
Jon Daler. After a fine move down the middle
Bukhari Abd Hamid nearly gave the home side a goal after 16 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 19 minutes allowed
Eduard Pärna to score the 0 - 1 goal for Reds. Grilled's
Lee Jie Siong had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 22 minutes having been played.
Quah Han Kok was the replacement. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
After 50 minutes of play,
Luis Alcántara evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1.
Jaan Kadak gave Grilled the lead with 2 - 1, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Reds's
Fong Boon Dong was shown a yellow card after 60 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Jaan Kadak was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Grilled's

Tim Hobson had to come off the bench. Grilled's
Ulf Hjortlind had an excellent opportunity after 62 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Quah Han Kok.
Luis Alcántara on the other hand, had a terrible day. Reds's top performer was clearly
Valter Abreu.
Ahamat bin Mohamed turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
