Grilled levelled the score after 27 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as Lee Jie Siong struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle, leaving him completely unmarked. The referee showed Firedevils's Ronnie Kuys the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The referee signalled a penalty 48 minutes into the game following an offence just inside of the box. Marcus Liehner knocked home the 1 - 4 goal just outside the reach of the goalkeeper. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts.
