Grilled 5 - 0 Titus
irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 93932 to The Cooking Pot.
Afanasijus Šakūras was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Filip Markulak and
Herman Strøm. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Bona, Falkbo - van Liere, Siu-Yue, Kek-Tjiang, Rottman, Paullin - Wai-Kin, Martinsson.
Titus had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Yukpui - Yiu-Bong, Wee-Cheong, Chee-Wei - Kong-Phay, Chien-Hui, Thuy, Ee-Van, bin Yusof - Mei-Kuen, Seng Wen.
Titus showed off their creative tactics.
Cao Wai-Kin gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Hidde van Liere putting the lead up to 2 - 0. Grilled put themselves up 3 - 0 when
Jon Andrea Rottman broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.
Tang Mei-Kuen could've grabbed a goal for Titus 31 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Halftime score was 3 - 0. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.
Titus breathed new life into the game with an opportunity to reduce the score after 50 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball on the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar.
Hidde van Liere almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, coming from the right, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors' keeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Jörgen Falkbo squirmed himself through their central defence after 83 minutes, bringing the lead to 4 - 0. Grilled put themselves up 5 - 0 when
Au-Yong Siu-Yue broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. The referee showed Titus's
Tang Chien-Hui the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,
Shen Kek-Tjiang of Grilled spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game.
Choy Yiu-Bong had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman just wouldn't surrender. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 51 percent of possession.
Most important Grilled player was
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman.
Ola Martinsson was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Titus player was without a doubt
Jiu Thuy. However,
Bing Kong-Phay made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 0.
