Carratts 0 - 1 Grilled
22 spectators had come to Carratt's Crusaders Arena this cloudy day.
Mario Incerpi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Matias Pernaa and
André Bettencourt. Carratts started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Mathieu - Orza Linares, Risum, Goretti - Morcillo, Collins, Panvert, Torreblanca, WÄ™gorek - Barwick, Tanghe.
Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Harlow - Alcántara, Tuan-Mu, Liehner - Siu-Yue, Han Kok, Borup, Jie Siong, Paullin - Hjortlind, Hobson.
It was an obvious ambition of Carratts to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled took the lead 6 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle.
Lee Jie Siong was the scorer.
Quah Han Kok was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was perfectly redirected by
Lorenz Paullin, but the ball went into the frame.
Samson Tanghe made a superb strike after 8 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. Grilled's
Marcus Liehner missed a penalty shot 24 minutes into the contest. The shot produced was way too weak, allowing the keeper to collect it at his own leisure.
Mauro Torreblanca was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Carratts with a strike from the left, but
Clair Harlow managed to ward the closing shot off to a corner. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Carratts held the ball, with a clear 54 percent of possession.

Tim Hobson made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 47 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender sprang up, clearing the ball on the line.
Ulf Hjortlind could have put his team up another goal 51 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Grilled came close to extending their lead as
Au-Yong Siu-Yue delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 58 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Carratts held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.
The most dominating Carratts player was without a doubt
Mauro Torreblanca.
Frédéric Morcillo was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was
Clair Harlow. However,
