Grilled 5 - 1 Barracuda

924 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Nils Stegeman was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mathieu Hugel and Vlado Stamenić. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Harlow - Pakpao, Bona, Falkbo - van Liere, Rottman, Han Kok, Siu-Yue, Paullin - Langeland, Martinsson.

Barracuda had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Gottsjö - Grašo, Fjelgren, Simms - Dobrin, Tönnies, Sunheng, Kiam-Tian, Nyquist - Johansson, Shui-Hao.

It was an obvious ambition of Barracuda to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. 21 minutes into the game, a swerving free kick by Ola Martinsson almost resulted in the home team taking the lead, but the shot glanced harmlessly off the frame of the goal. The referee showed Grilled's Au-Yong Siu-Yue the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Au-Yong Siu-Yue gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. The referee showed Grilled's Hidde van Liere the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Anders Johansson came close to levelling the score 33 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. Grilled had to manage with a reduced squad after 33 minutes, as Nui Pakpao got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. Barracuda were forced to a substitution as Ante Grašo couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Matti Mirsch to come in from the sidelines. The visitors didn't give in and, after 34 minutes, Anders Johansson got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 74 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Ola Martinsson, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. Barracuda got a chance to level the score as Teo Fjelgren suddenly found himself free with only the 'keeper to beat, but the finishing shot hit the bar. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Ola Martinsson putting the lead up to 3 - 1. With 76 minutes played, Grilled's Jon Andrea Rottman fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Jon Andrea Rottman for diving. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Jan Langeland. At last, Grilled's Hidde van Liere was able to shove the ball in. 4-1. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Ola Martinsson squirmed himself through their central defence after 77 minutes, bringing the lead to 5 - 1. By then Ola Martinsson was a three time scorer - a hat trick! Grilled held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Hidde van Liere. Quah Han Kok on the other hand, had a terrible day. Barracuda's best player was Ludwig Tönnies. Matti Mirsch on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 1.
