Grilled 2 - 4 Hattrick

ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 50514 at The Cooking Pot today. Nicola Haye was the appointed referee with assistance provided by David del Bosque and León Gómez. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Harlow - Pakpao, Bona, Dewilde - Dai-Lin, Stanton, Rottman, Kek-Tjiang, Siu-Yue - Langeland, Martinsson.

Hattrick had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Lineup: Alley - Rosblom, Chang-Ting, Menon - Preda, Kyhlbom, Olsson, Kerry - Lennartsson, Karim, Donát.

Grilled immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. Hattrick mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Jan Langeland gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Grilled's ability to press their opponents all over the field paid off frequently. The visiting team's Zhu Chang-Ting was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 7 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Hattrick took the lead 22 minutes into the game, scoring the 1 - 2 goal after some elegant plays down the middle. Gogu Preda was the scorer. After 28 minutes, Ma Dai-Lin got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 55 percent of possession.

Grilled's Ola Martinsson made a successful breakthrough on the left after 50 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Hattrick goal after 56 minutes, making it 1 - 3. Chetas Menon was noted down as the scorer. After this, Hattrick lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. The referee showed Grilled's Shen Kek-Tjiang the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, Zhu Chang-Ting of Hattrick spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Grilled reduced the lead to 2 - 3 with 68 minutes on the clock when Shen Kek-Tjiang got the best of a ball floated in from the left. Hattrick's Gogu Preda received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 69 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 2 - 4 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's Jon Andrea Rottman got himself booked. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 55 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Asher Stanton. Nui Pakpao was a disappointment, however. Most important Hattrick player was Michael Olsson. Sten Rosblom was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 4.
