Brompton 0 - 10 Grilled
000 fans braved the pouring rain at Brompton Rovers Arena.
Ted Bland was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sebastián Mercado and
Corey Rowland. Everyone was excited about the upcoming
West derby and the crowd was divided evenly. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Brompton. They fielded: Mantali - Ah Jia, 天涌 (Tianyong) , Da Keong, é½ç (Qifa) - bin Yusof, å¤©è£ (Tianrong) , bin Ismail, ç¿é“® (Ruizheng) - Mail, 群德 (Qunde) .
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. They fielded: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Tuan-Mu, Seng-Huat, åºå³° (Tingfeng) - è¾¾è£ (Darong) , Rotteveel, Spirig, Han Kok, Deme - bin Ku Zainol.
胡 (Hu) 辉洪 (Huihong) had a good try after 3 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. The guests took the lead 8 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
Subri bin Ku Zainol scoring the 0 - 1 goal. Brompton's
Haji Abdullah bin Ismail got himself booked for a foul.
Maikel Rotteveel slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
Dani Spirig increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Grilled's
å° (Feng) è¾¾è£ (Darong) was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
Subri bin Ku Zainol managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 3 after 29 minutes. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. Grilled's
Subri bin Ku Zainol received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 31 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 4 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. That made three goals for
Subri bin Ku Zainol and he was marked down for the hat trick.
陶 (Tao) åºå³° (Tingfeng) sailed high above the opponents as he headed the 0-5 goal in on a corner kick from
Maikel Rotteveel after 34 minutes of play. A drive on the left side allowed Grilled's
Lan Tuan-Mu to get in close and score a goal after 35 minutes, leading to 0 - 6. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Brompton's
Suhairi bin Yusof a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game. The player down was
Weng Seng-Huat. The Grilled bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 6. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.
Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 50 minutes, making it 0 - 7.
Subri bin Ku Zainol was noted down as the scorer. Grilled's
Quah Han Kok got himself booked for a foul. Unfortunately for Brompton,
Shahril Faizal Mail was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
Mohd Al-Rifaie bin Ismail replaced him.
陶 (Tao) åºå³° (Tingfeng) was, after 79 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper
Mohd Zaidi Mantali made the save. With 80 minutes played, a phenomenal play on the left side freed
Maikel Rotteveel, of Grilled, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 0 - 8. 81 minutes into the game,
Subri bin Ku Zainol had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
Ulf Hjortlind. Grilled's
Lan Tuan-Mu received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 83 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 9 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. After 84 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
å° (Feng) è¾¾è£ (Darong) who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 10. When
Suhairi bin Yusof made yet another studs-first tackle after 85 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Brompton player for the second time, sending him off the pitch.
朱 (Zhu) å¤©è£ (Tianrong) became the new Brompton captain. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 82 percent of the time.
The most dominating Brompton player was without a doubt
ç¿ (Weng) ç¿é“® (Ruizheng) . However,
贞 (Zhen) 天涌 (Tianyong) made a disastrous appearance. Most important Grilled player was
Quah Han Kok. On the other hand,
Hang Bao-Tam's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 10.
