Team clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Some things can only be learned through experience, and
Ciro Penati should take his lesson to heart after nearly giving Team a goal with 5 minutes of the match played. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Grilled's
Quah Han Kok after 10 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. 18 minutes into the game Team managed a counterattack, but
Khairil bin Wan Ahmad took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. 19 minutes in, Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Unfortunately for Team,
Choo Kok Sze was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
Rãzvan Mitrache replaced him. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
Maikel Rotteveel. The mud seemed to slow him down. The home crowd was not impressed when
Maikel Rotteveel came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 48 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 2. After 52 minutes, Grilled's
Fabian Bona burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, Grilled decided to play a more defensive game at this point. A thrilling play through the middle 63 minutes into the match gave Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. A thrilling play through the middle 65 minutes into the match gave Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5. By then
Maikel Rotteveel was a three time scorer - a hat trick! Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Team's
Woon Siong Tian a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 66 minutes into the game. Grilled's
Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 68 minutes having been played.
Ulf Hjortlind was the replacement. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 63 percent possession of the ball.
Xu Chi Kan performed admirably for Team.
Liu Chang Kun on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was
Valdir Dias Paes.
Ciro Penati turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
