CFC 3 - 1 Grilled
ouds darkened the skies at St James Park as 66836 spectators turned up for the match.
Arnaud Roulin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Arnold Gobe and
Bent Knutsen. People from all over had joined up for the derby. CFC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Panasevich - Mulrain, Lucchese, Chih-Chien - Boroffka, Chih-Cheng, bin Sabtu, Baselier, bin Hasan - Himes, Månsson.
Grilled decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Fredgård, Bona, Alcántara - Paullin, Spirig, Kek-Tjiang, Han Kok, van Liere - Martinsson.
What ever got into
Dani Spirig, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of CFC's
Jordan Himes, who easily put the ball away for 1-0 after 6 minutes. Good work by Grilled's defensive line produced a couple of good counterattack chances, one of which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
Ola Martinsson alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. 20 minutes into the game Grilled's
Sylweriusz Zywczyn found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1.
Claes Månsson gave CFC the lead with 2 - 1, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. It was 2 - 1 at the break. CFC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.
Coming through the middle
Ola Martinsson almost scored the equaliser for Grilled after 49 minutes, but
Avier Panasevich made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. Grilled's
Ola Martinsson was shown a yellow card after 52 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 53 minutes,
Quah Han Kok broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper.
Avier Panasevich made a great block, though. Grilled got a chance to level the score as
Anders Fredgård suddenly found himself free with only the 'keeper to beat, but the finishing shot hit the bar.
Hendrik-Jan Boroffka gave CFC supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1 after 82 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. After this, CFC lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Grilled's
Lorenz Paullin was shown a yellow card after 83 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Grilled's counterattacks created a good chance for
Ola Martinsson on the right, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. CFC held the ball, with a clear 54 percent of possession.
Most important CFC player was
Azrul Hisyam bin Sabtu.
Bay Mulrain turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Shen Kek-Tjiang.
Luis Alcántara turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
