Final Stop
With the final extension of the season's apprentice contracts running out, four more youngsters earned themselves some hope, most prominently among them the Birds' Deng Jin Yeng. The defensive midfielder had been uniformly noted by local scouts as a solid prospect with no obvious shortcomings, and his reward would be a stint in Bern, Switzerland with VI.673 club Borussia Bergdorf CF1998.
Goalkeeping trainee Abdul Wafi Anwar Faizol received his chance in Switzerland too, as H.A.L VI.932 favourties Höfliche Jubilaren took a punt on him, alongside eleven other youngsters. Buns defender Khairil Anwar Mohd Akma received the provisional Number 44 shirt at Jamaican H.A.L VII.17 club Kingston Hornets Anniversary, with Grilled International utility midfielder Siu Bee assigned Number 45, but word is that they may struggle to distinguish themselves amongst a crowd of incoming triallists.
This leaves a number of academy graduates having to leave without a new club, amongst of which are the Birds' Chu Ho Huat, Yip Yew Su, Lee Yong Sze and Nitin Bangara; the Buns' Lee Kuan Hao, Herman Tam, Liu Leng Qiang, Lucas Chong, Kang Eng Boon and Loke Hui Yao; and Grilled International's Ganesh More, Jivraj Rajput, Galawat bin Azani, Fan Anyu, Niko Cukingnan, Tan Long Han, Jaini bin Hayat, Chai Chuan Jun, Chen Qungui and Kamarul Nizam bin Abdul Aziz.
