Unheralded when he was plucked from obscurity as a walk-on at FC Basel`'s new-defunct youth outfit, having being rejected by preferred club Concordia Lietsch, the rangy Vivian Grubenmann would make the most out of his unlikely move to Luxembourg.

At RB Pillepalle Letze, he more than repaid former Fc BrasovX manager Edmondo Del Chicca's faith, and his athletic saves played a part in their finally promoting to the third division. He would go on to establish himself as the Buns' first choice goalie for over a decade, only to ironically miss out on their only major trophy - the Emerald Challenger Cup - due to injury.
