Gudivada represents Grilled's first local-born Indian since founding member Svarpati Attimarad, but unlike his predecessor, Gudivada is a passer first and scorer second. Either way, neither can be faulted on their speed.

He was undistinguished in his first couple of seasons with the Birds, but began to show real promise after turning twenty, combining his always-present pace with coordination and determination. This got him acknowledged as Young Player of the Season, and then a move to France.
