Nes S 5 - 1 Grilled Birds

Nes Needling
Bukhari In Vain
The Birds came off with a 1-5 defeat against Faroe Islands representative Nes Sóknar Ítrottarfelag, whose offensive outlook paid off despite going a goal behind.
Nes made up for the inexperience of their trainee forwards with August Oester's presence in midfield, as Oester was easily a level above anybody else on the field. Grilled were determined not to be easy pickings, though, and tried to starve him of the ball as much as possible, and won the first yellow card of the day off winger Fabrizio Veraguth.
After Olle Uddmar narrowly sent a free-kick wide, Grilled pushed ahead through
Gao Seng-kar down the left side, since Veraguth would be cautious about putting in another challenge. This reasoning worked as Seng-kar made it all the way down to the opposite goalline, and his mid-level cross was forced over the line by
Bukhari Abd Hamid.
Oester's class eventually told, sadly for Grilled, and he set up Hedstedt to leave the ball for Aaro Tuomainen, who outflanked the entire Grilled backline to level. Spanish teenager Chema Zabaleta then cut through the middle to give the home side the lead in the 37th minute after indecisive defending from Siu-Cheung.
The balance tipped further in the second half, and Ed de Rijk made it 3-1 soon after the restart, with Hedstedt again involved. Pelle Faber's freak injury in the 56th minute didn't slow them, as Zabaleta made it two for himself soon after, as substitute Jógvan Jákup Jákupson caught Grilled unaware with his first kick of the game.
Zabaleta would collect his hat-trick soon enough as Nes once again found no real opposition down the right side, and Ville Syväniemi came close to making it six after a quickly-taken free-kick, given after Seng-Huat's messy tackle on Hedstedt.
