41920 spectators had found their way to 渡辺麻友Dome, despite the heavy rain. Yvan Chassot was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anthony Rider and Kacper Legut. The pitch was a disaster, due to all the rain. This spelled problems for the more sophisticated players, who usually could rely on speed or technique. Mayuyu AKB48 fielded a 4-4-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Today, Mayuyu's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks, taking advantage of their divine (+4) (24) level with that tactic. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+5) (25) level with that tactic. Hızır Arkın was in no condition to play on. 24 minutes into the game he left the field on a stretcher, with his left thigh bandaged, and crying out in pain. This gave Philip Boestlinger a chance to take to the field instead. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. 0 - 1 was the score with 40 minutes played, after Phua Ming Xin cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. After 41 minutes, Grilled were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. Gústav Thoroddsen did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. After 43 minutes, Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 0 - 2. The cannonball from 35 metres by Lim An Keng of Grilled was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Egemen Dinçer Ferzan off the field. Federico Parada took his place. Gústav Thoroddsen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 55 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy earned a rousing chorus of cheers from his fans as he seemed to come out of nowhere after 66 minutes to intercept the ball and put it in the back of the net for Grilled. 0 - 4. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. After 68 minutes, Grilled's Phua Ming Xin burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. Grilled increased their lead after 80 minutes when Phua Ming Xin broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. At that, Phua Ming Xin was noted down for a hat trick! 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Orest Tokarz gave Chan Ze Han a quick hug as he left the field. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Gandhik Chitre came on for Chia Kwang Tse. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 0 - 6. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.

Mayuyu's best player was Tim Lindow. Philip Boestlinger turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Gústav Thoroddsen. Damian Hutter on the other hand, had a terrible day.
