Grilled 9 - 0 TARAWADDY

Clouds darkened the skies at The Cooking Pot as 3284 spectators turned up for the match. Erben Schenk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Casimiro Tofi and Rasheed Hamid Nsour. The following players had been chosen by Grilled: Vadalà - Jaška, Webb, 中北 (Nakakita) - 敬龙 (Jinglong), Kamel, Chuan Yong, 田宮 (Tamiya) - Mottl, Egan, Velho.

TARAWADDY fielded: Naing - Ko Tun, Naing Kyaw, Htoo Aung - 达山 (Dashan), Pyae Ko, Htet, Lam Mang - Coda, Phyo Wai, Bent.

3-4-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their utopian (19) level with that tactic. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 1 minutes played, but Radovan Jaška's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. 邱 (Qiu) 达山 (Dashan) came close to putting the visiting team one up 4 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Manuel Vadalà managed to tip the ball to a corner. Grilled took the lead 11 minutes in, as Bernie Egan broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) increasing the lead to 2 - 0. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Gilbert Webb. At last, Grilled's José Luiz Velho was able to backheel the ball in. 3 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Bernie Egan squirmed through their central defence after 30 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0. 32 minutes in, Grilled's Teo Chuan Yong received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Cheers filled the stadium as Gilbert Webb broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to Grilled. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

49 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as José Luiz Velho broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for Grilled. After 52 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached José Luiz Velho, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 7 - 0. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for José Luiz Velho. As the 60 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) reluctantly made way for Heng Dong Chu on the pitch. As 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) left the field, the coach signaled to Gilbert Webb to be the new set pieces taker. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) was handed the Grilled captain's armband. TARAWADDY's Norberto Coda was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent. José Luiz Velho was in no condition to play on. He left the field limping after 62 minutes, with his right thigh bandaged. Leonard Nguyen tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. Grilled increased the lead as Prokop Mottl struck to make the score 8 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After 82 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Grilled found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate (5). The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 3 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. Grilled's 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) increased the lead to 9 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 90 minutes. The match ends 9 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

Grilled's best player was Bernie Egan. Leonard Nguyen turned in a dismal performance, however. TARAWADDY's top performer was clearly Thiha Pyae Ko. However, Norberto Coda made a disastrous appearance.
