The Birds were one step closer to a title defense after their away win at Club Dinosauria, though Sarcastic Fringeheads wouldn't let up, as they disposed of Singapore Big Dogs by three goals to nil. The result leaves the Big Dogs still rooted to the bottom of the table, and with Grilled hosting them next alongside Fringeheads having to visit Bot Team FC, Eren Serpin is cautiously optimistic about the club possibly getting some daylight between themselves and their closest challengers.

"It's going to be tight, but I'll take all the help we can get." the head coach said. "We've been getting the job done on our side, as you've seen today. Club Dinosauria were fierce especially early on, but we showed steel to outlast them."

Bot Team FC will be without pivotal Turkish winger Bahri Han, however, after Han suffered a serious foot injury in a 1-4 defeat to UDNTK FC. Cup winners Haha kept their pursuit up, as they edged The EV 2-1 in a match that saw early substitutions for Ursin de Rougemont and Lars Smalbil. Neither are expected to be out for long, however.

Over in III.2, the Farmer Bunnies maintained their two-point lead over Guru United and Kang Kong at the head of the table, by crushing 10G3NT 6-0. The Holland Village hosts were constricted from beginning till end, with Kyrgyzstani defender Aitykul Zaripbekov baring his fangs, to help offset the loss of Mushtag Al-Nameeri. In any case, both Ibrahim Zahran Al-Maashany and Nurlan Ablaev found the net too, signalling that fears of a striking deficiency might be overblown.

It was a day of clean sheets as Guru United and Kang Kong won their fixtures 5-0 and 1-0 against Dream Seals and Sim(TM) respectively, while Pegasus SC all but confirmed their continued membership of the league with a 3-0 away result against The Red Bomb. Relja Tadić scored on a rare breakaway after a mixed early struggle, and goals from Feike Van Roeyen and Dailos Búrdalo sealed Bomb's fate in the second half.
