The International
Djan Bacelar studiously avoided mentioning the match at all in his commentary, instead revealing Grilled's potential expansion into the recently-announced Hattrick International league.
"Our club's affiliate ventures have done well so far," he began, with not a trace of irony given how much better the Bunnies have been doing in recent weeks. "and I am very pleased to say that we are seriously considering establishing one of the founding clubs of HI."
"As with the Farmer Bunnies, it will be a completely separate entity, albeit under the Grilled family of clubs. Our consultants are currently going over whether this makes sense commercially, but I personally have little doubt what their finding will be."
This didn't go over too well with many fans, who accused Bacelar of ducking hard questions about the Birds. "We're sinking like an anvil-transporting Titanic, and he's taking about setting up another new side?!"
Bacelar steadfastedly refused to be drawn into that topic, however, and for once even declined to comment on a rumoured transfer target outright; given that former Northern Irish youth international winger Craig Harrison went for over S$13 million, however, it is probably safe to say that he was out of Grilled's reach.
