Tarin Arrives
Grilled head coach
Djan Bacelar boosted his thinning squad with the cut-price acquisition of 25 year-old Swiss utility man
Jérémy Tarin today, on a free from his hometown club Botafogo01. Tarin had spent eleven seasons there, including two in the youth side, but was ready to seek a new challenge.
Mostly deployed in midfield by Kornelius Stemper, Tarin will be expected to float between that and defence, according to Bacelar; he will however keep his treasured No. 28 jersey, from his time at Botafogo01.
The new man had been considering a competing offer from Polish seventh division outfit Triumf Team, but affirmed that it hadn't been too tough a choice, in the end. "Singapore's a nice change of scenery, and there's space to develop here."
