Grilled Birds
Terkel Borup (8)

Joho Jab
Borup Decider

Colombian II.3 side Joho F.C was well equipped to close shop on Grilled with a practised 4-5-1, and may well have done so had not Terkel Borup exploited some lazy defending to get an eighth minute goal. The Dane had van Liere's persistence to thank, as the Dutchman's assist came off Noël Agatz's left leg leading to a top corner placement from Borup.
Joho showed little intention to score an equaliser, and as such left little for Grilled's front men to pick on. Hjortlind thought he saw some scraps under the dinner table when he peeled off his marker, but was stopped in his tracks several metres from the penalty area by two burly defenders. His appeals for a free-kick fell on deaf ears, and then resulted in a yellow card.

Hobson, his partner, soon joined him in the referee's book as he spewed some foul language after a call was made against him. Hjortlind had to save the veteran Englishman from a possible red card by dragging him from the scene. Grilled were already handicapped mildly by Tuan-Mu's tendon pull several minutes ago, and badly needed to get to half-time without further incident.

Dutch defensive midfielder Boike Exodior threatened from a very good free kick that Harlow stopped with one hand. Harlow would have much more work to do, as Grilled's young midfield saw a marked decline in dynamism. Borup and Jie Siong were too often pushed off the ball by the seasoned professionals in Joho's side.

Joho's coach Jonas Olsson subscribed to the current trend of coaches taking part in friendlies, and nearly taught his players a practical lesson when he sold Liehner an outrageous dummy. That had Liehner struggling to find his balance, while Olsson swiped the ball high and beyond Harlow. Though it struck the bar, that deserved a place on the highlight reel.

Grilled's Paullin tried to get his team moving again, but too frequently ran out of support while dribbling deep in the opponents' half. Joho were the better side this half, and might have levelled had Alex Hódos managed to keep his close-range header on target in the 75th minute. No more opportunities were forthcoming after that miss, as Joho stuck to their one-man attack, and Grilled clung on to a one-nil win.
