Teamed Up On
Outrageous Ovesson

TTTNW worked the flanks brilliantly and ended up with another 5-2 win at a packed Hell Hole, with attacking midfielder Joakim Ovesson obtaining a hat-trick with runs from deep. An action-packed first-half saw Grilled battle from 0-2 to 2-2, only to concede twice more before half-time.
The result wasn't that much of a shock as the hosts had won their last two league games by three-goal margins, and it was clear that Grilled's defensive resources were simply not up to guarding both flanks securely. The Birds knew their best hope was to outgun their opponents, and set up accordingly.

Grilled were first to blink, and after nineteen minutes Sid was left on the ground after a committed tackle. TTTNW weren't about to stop play, and three players broke down the now-open left flank, leaving Joakim Ovesson to heft in the first goal.

Ovesson was at it again five minutes later, as he held off Fredgård for long enough to rifle in a second; This appeared to take a lot out of Ovesson, though, and he was unable to get close to Simon a few minutes later, as the Belgian sprinted from midfield and shot the ball past Riis once he set foot in the penalty area.

The Birds were getting into the rhythm of things, and bamboozled TTTNW briefly with some extremely smooth passing movements. One in particular was capped by Spirig's outstanding no-look pass that looped narrowly over the last defender and into Martinsson's path, and the Swede couldn't help but round Riis to equalise.

It was Ovesson's day, however, and the TTTNW midfielder sent his fans into a frenzy as he cut inside Bona to prod home after 33 minutes, with Anders Fredgård booked after the goal for taking Davidsson down after the ball had gone.

Grilled saw no way back after Li Chun-fai restored TTTNW's two-goal advantage from a good early cross by tricky Dutch winger Shakie Muris, and it was all they could do to keep the home side to just one more goal, a precise grounder from Johan Davidsson.

Muris received a booking for clattering Spirig, and Chun-fai might have added gloss to the scoreline had he done better with two half-chances. Grilled would feel hard done by as attacking lynchpin Hidde van Liere fell awkwardly with six minutes left in the game, and they must now confront the harsh reality of being at the bottom of the table with four matches played.
