Zainul On The Path
Grilled Birds received news that they had been allocated just over S$150,000 today, from the S$7.9 million transfer of former youth player Zainul Abidin Mohd Ehsan to French Division Five side Twin Peaks Owlz. The 21 year-old Zainul had previously distinguished himself in Romania with FC Lazio - 99, but a grander future awaits.
Assistant coach Nuh Alawee Ramli was delighted at Zainul's progress, after switching from his original forward role at the academy, into an attacking midfielder. "He's developed every bit as we dared hope, and frankly, he's due a trial with the Young Lions at least!"
