As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Going for long shots seemed to be the pick of the day for olimpico, taking advantage of their passable (6) level with that tactic. Moey Xin Seng gave Grilled the lead with a beautiful free kick after 9 minutes. 1 - 0! After 15 minutes, Damian Hutter put Grilled ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Moey Xin Seng increased Grilled's lead to 3 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. 21 minutes into the game, olimpico seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable (6) level of organisation. After 22 minutes, it looked like Grilled had an attack coming, but Mart�n Villafa�e nipped all that in the bud with a powerful tackle. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that olimpico had solid (7) organisation. Chia Kwang Tse would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Chad Thach entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Moey Xin Seng gave Teo Chuan Yong a quick hug as he left the field. With Moey Xin Seng no longer on the pitch, Teo Chuan Yong became the new set pieces taker. Teo Chuan Yong was handed the Grilled captain's armband. Encouraged by their lead, after 46 minutes the Grilled coach asked Hwang Teck Fu to change positions with Mohd Marzuki Khairul. With 63 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Yee Jian Hui, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Grilled's Yee Jian Hui saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 71 minutes. Grilled's Hwang Teck Fu increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 74 minutes. The referee showed olimpico's Marcelo Guerrero the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 76 minutes played, Hektor Unterhofer had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot from the middle flew harmlessly wide of the goal. Jos� Luiz Velho of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Prokop Mottl came on for Jos� Luiz Velho. Grilled's Enrique Baena has the wonderful ability to create chances out of thin air. 81 minutes into the match he bamboozled a couple of opposition defenders before sending the keeper the wrong way and sidefooting the ball home into an empty net. That totally unexpected burst of flair made it 6 - 0. After 82 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Damian Hutter gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 7 - 0. 84 minutes into the game, olimpico seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid (7). Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Teo Chuan Yong limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 85 minutes for his team this day. Grilled had no available replacements, and now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. As Teo Chuan Yong exited the field, Atang Mangoye volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. Manuel Vadal� became the new Grilled captain. The referee announced 3 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. There was a promising attack by Grilled after 90 minutes, but it was ultimately closed down by the powerful presence of Hektor Unterhofer. The match ends 7 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 63 percent of the ball.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Chad Thach. On the other hand, Manuel Vadal�'s play was disheartening. olimpico's best player was Mart�n Villafa�e. Pancho Bermeo was a disappointment, however.
