The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Grilled Birds went for 2-5-3 while Connie_chiwah HoHoFun has decided to play a 4-4-2 lineup. 14 minutes into the game,
蔡 (Choi) 凱生 (Kaisheng) almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 17 minutes played, but
José Luiz Velho's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. The goal to make it 0 - 1 was scored by
汪 (Wong) 旭德 (Xude) after 18 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by HoHoFun. The crowd roared in delight as
Yee Jian Hui finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Grilled 32 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 35 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Grilled fans erupted in celebration as
José Luiz Velho rifled the ball into the the top corner. 2 - 1! After 37 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Chia Kwang Tse came on for
Chad Thach. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Gandhik Chitre reluctantly made way for
Lim An Keng on the pitch.
Hwang Teck Fu got new instructions from the Grilled coach after 46 minutes. He changed positions with
Mohd Marzuki Khairul soon after. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
汪 (Wong) 旭德 (Xude) from HoHoFun a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 62 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 63 minutes, the HoHoFun coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Giancarlo Turchetto off the field.
Kjell Solsvik took his place. Grilled were very close to putting themselves one up after 64 minutes as
Chia Kwang Tse got through on the left. However, his concentration failed him, and he shot wide. 65 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
José Luiz Velho gave
Chan Ze Han a quick hug as he left the field.
José Luiz Velho was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that
Chan Ze Han got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Grilled had a chance to take the lead after
Chan Ze Han's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 75 minutes.
丁 (Ting) 勇卓 (Yongzhuo) would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Paco Rodríguez entered the game for HoHoFun as the match clock showed 89 minutes. After 89 minutes, the HoHoFun coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
蔡 (Choi) 凱生 (Kaisheng) off the field.
Dailis Rūpnieks took his place. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 1 minute beyond the regular 90 minutes. With the scores being level after 91 minutes, the match went into extra time. Grilled had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.
Mohd Marzuki Khairul gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2 106 minutes in, HoHoFun's
Tim Renningen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The referee showed HoHoFun's
Miguel Quintonahuel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Chan Ze Han had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 111 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. Grilled's
Yee Jian Hui was shown a yellow card after 114 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The match ends 3 - 2. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Chan Ze Han. However,
Atang Mangoye made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating HoHoFun player was without a doubt
Dailis Rūpnieks. On the other hand,
Rafael Lario Oñate's play was disheartening.
