Czermno 0 - 2 Grilled
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 2096 to
Jagoda Czermno Arena.
Halil Utku Yaren was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Liam 'Sanji' Williams and
Nello Mattesini. Czermno's lineup was:
Pypeć -
Stańczykowski,
Łazarz,
Matysik,
Białokozowicz,
Tokarski -
Złoty,
Rurek,
Almeciga,
Gierasimczuk,
Merta -.
Grilled's starters:
Vadalà -
Thevar,
El Khateeb,
Jian Hui -
田宮 (Tamiya),
Chitre,
Kwang Tse,
Thach,
Teck Fu -
Velho,
Parvathaneni.
It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 5-5-0 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Czermno clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their brilliant (11) level with that tactic. Grilled took a excellent (8) creative approach on the field. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 6 minutes allowed
Chad Thach to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. Grilled made it 0 - 2 as
Hwang Teck Fu got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) who whipped a low drive in off the far post. With 24 minutes gone,
Bogusław Złoty suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Czermno caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring.
Mohsen El Khateeb's lack of experience almost gave Czermno a goal after 29 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni got himself booked for a foul.
Gonzalo Almeciga went down after twisting his right ankle after 38 minutes, and had to leave the pitch.
Hubert Sierzputowski had already been warming up, and came on for
Gonzalo Almeciga. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Kalki Parvathaneni gave
Prokop Mottl a quick hug as he left the field. As
Kalki Parvathaneni exited the field,
José Luiz Velho volunteered to be the new set pieces taker.
Manuel Vadalà was the new captain of Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. Still ahead in the game after 46 minutes, Grilled made some tactical adjustments.
Gandhik Chitre and
Hwang Teck Fu swapped positions. After 46 minutes of the match, the manager still hoped to turn things around.
Bernard Rurek was ordered to assume a different position on the pitch. He took the place of
Michał Merta, who in turn replaced his team mate. Still trailing on the score board, Czermno adjusted their tactics after 46 minutes.
Sławomir Tokarski had a quick chat at the side line, then switched positions with
Bogusław Złoty. 66 minutes into the game, Czermno seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable (6).
Mohsen El Khateeb would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Atang Mangoye entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 70 minutes. 78 minutes into the game, Czermno had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate (5). The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 52 percent of the ball.
Czermno's best player was
Bogusz Gierasimczuk.
Ignacy Łazarz on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Prokop Mottl performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand,
Yee Jian Hui's play was disheartening.
