The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 5660 had shown up at Arena of Stars for the match. Gianfranco Ribechi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefan Cocq and Winston 'Light' Bowden. Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 3-5-2 formation. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their titanic (15) level with that tactic. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. 吳 (Ng) 睿嘉 (Ruijia) looked great 6 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Chia Kwang Tse. International's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing 廖 (Liu) 聰智 (Congzhi) to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 0. Kalki Parvathaneni went down after twisting his right ankle after 18 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. This gave Prokop Mottl a chance to take to the field instead. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in International's 凌 (Ling) 懷毅 (Huaiyi) increasing the lead to 2 - 0. 25 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as 廖 (Liu) 聰智 (Congzhi) broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for International. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave 宋 (Sung) 雋彥 (Chun Yin) from International a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 32 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 33 minutes played, 宋 (Sung) 雋彥 (Chun Yin) could have brought this one home for International as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. International solidified their lead at the 34 minute mark, as 凌 (Ling) 懷毅 (Huaiyi) dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. Gandhik Chitre of Grilled received a yellow card after 36 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Things were deteriorating for the away team as International scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Lazar Lazić after 38 minutes. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by International, with 61 percent of the ball.

After 46 minutes of the match, the manager still hoped to turn things around. Chia Kwang Tse was ordered to assume a different position on the pitch. He took the place of Chad Thach, who in turn replaced his team mate. As the 46 minute mark approached, the International coach decided it was time for a substitution. Gahtan Mujali reluctantly made way for Bobby Charlton on the pitch. Gahtan Mujali was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that 廖 (Liu) 聰智 (Congzhi) got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Enrique Baena would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 60 minutes. International put themselves up 6 - 0 when Paddy Coghlan broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. 70 minutes into the game, International wanted to bring some new energy to their game. 宋 (Sung) 雋彥 (Chun Yin) gave 汪 (Wong) 小貴 (Xiaogui) a quick hug as he left the field. After 80 minutes, the International coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 嚴 (Yim) 敬凱 (Jingkai) off the field. 鄭 (Cheng) 光忠 (Guangzhong) took his place. International's Joselindo dos Santos was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 81 minutes, Lazar Lazić put International ahead 7 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Grilled's Chia Kwang Tse got himself booked for a foul. 84 minutes into the game, International seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to wretched (2). A bit later, Grilled's José Luiz Velho easily reduced the lead to 7 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 4 minutes as stoppage time. A great save by keeper Manuel Vadalà after 90 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Lazar Lazić struck from the left with a real cannonball. The match ends 7 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to International, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

International's best player was Kiriakos Papadopoulos. However, 吳 (Ng) 睿嘉 (Ruijia) made a disastrous appearance. Most important Grilled player was Chan Ze Han. José Luiz Velho was a disappointment, however.
