Golums Claim Ng
The Rancher Rabbits academy would see another of their graduates embark upon a professional career, as promising 17 year-old defender Ng Kong Hui landed an offer from Spanish VII.2 side Los Alocados Golums. Head coach Demetrio Noguera had certainly been busy these days, as he completed the free transfer signings of Ng together with Africa Sports Nigeria's Steve Sulaimon, Palancas Negras GD's Vítor Resende and FC Krony's Ferdynand Beger, all in one fell swoop.
Rabbits scout Tong Han Kong described Ng as a dutiful centreback, the sort who takes forwards getting past him personally. "But that's good!" Tong took pains to add. Ng had also been called into action a few times as the Rabbits' set-piece taker towards the end of his academy career, but was honestly not overly impressive in that role.
Tong could not help but reveal his excitement at the latest crop coming out of the academy. "Ng's a fine defender for his age... but let's just say that there are just too many ahead of him in that respect here - and I'm not exaggerating. It's maybe the best generation we have seen since Tham's, and perhaps even exceeding that, by sheer breadth of talent. Heck, we have even had to turn Cheong Pin Jie's little brother down, due to how stacked we are."
