3-5-2 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Grilled decided to play creatively at a excellent (8) level. 5 minutes into the game, Grilled's Radovan Jaška missed an opportunity to score the leading goal from a penalty when he delivered the shot straight into the keeper's hands. With 10 minutes played Dragoş Chiurtu almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. After 17 minutes, following yet another great corner, Atang Mangoye's flick on at the near post reached Aw Keng Chuan, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. After a fine move down the middle Adrián Madai nearly gave the home side a goal after 34 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Péter Gajdócsi from RDU a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 35 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! RDU's Adrián Madai was shown a yellow card after 38 minutes for slicing down an opponent. RDU's Marius Mocian got himself booked for a foul. Yee Jian Hui of Grilled received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Enrique Baena would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Paulino Trindade entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Mohsen El Khateeb gave Dante Tran a quick hug as he left the field. The referee showed RDU's Muhammet Tevfik Bukle the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 59 percent of the ball.

Radovan Jaška delivered a good free kick from an excellent position 105 minutes into the game, but luck wasn't on Grilled's side this time and the ball went wide. Chia Kwang Tse sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from Radovan Jaška after 106 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 1. Marius Olaru was unable to continue, as he once again hurt that bad left knee of his. He left the field in frustration in minute 114. Bogdan Dihoru had already been warming up, and came on for Marius Olaru. The match ends 0 - 1. Bogdan Dihoru performed admirably for RDU. On the other hand, Milică Ciulean's play was disheartening. Grilled's best player was Aw Keng Chuan. Chirag Thevar was a disappointment, however.
