Yamaguchi To The City
Farmer Bunnies wing trainee Tatsuro Yamaguchi would be taken on by downtown III.7 club UUFC as their first-ever signing, some two seasons after their founding. Spanish head coach Abel Cocote had guided the team to two straight titles in Division Four before that, but stiff competition higher up has seen them languish in sixth spot, with only two league wins thus far this season.
Yamaguchi had been invited by Rabbits scout Tong Han Kong for trials, and while his time in the academy had not been particularly distinguished, he had made an impression on the coaches for his commitment to training. Tong frankly admitted that he had not expected the 17 year-old to get a pro contract this easily, where not a few of his more-skilled forebears had failed, but wished him the best nonetheless.
"Tatsuro's beaten the odds more than once, just to get to where he was." Tong shrugged. "Why not again?"
