Having contracted a nasty injury to his right foot, Naveen Fernando had no choice but to leave the pitch, 30 minutes into the match. The replacement for the injured player was Manoj Yadav. After 31 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Julián Fernández Castrillón to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. Halftime score was 0 - 4. Sigiriya claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Lim An Keng off the field. Chia Kwang Tse took his place. 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) gave Aw Keng Chuan a quick hug as he left the field. Radovan Jaška became the new Grilled captain. With 52 minutes played, Oğuzhan Sevindal nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Radovan Jaška would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. José Luiz Velho entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 70 minutes. Radovan Jaška was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that José Luiz Velho got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, José Luiz Velho took over the role of being the Grilled captain. The referee signalled a penalty 72 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. Marco Scarsella knocked it home to make the score 0 - 5. Livio Addeo came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Cameron Law but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 0 - 5. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sigiriya, with 54 percent of the ball.

Grilled's top performer was clearly José Luiz Velho. However, Chirag Thevar made a disastrous appearance. Most important Sigiriya player was Livio Addeo. On the other hand, Julián Fernández Castrillón's play was disheartening.
