Kingstown 0 - 6 Grilled

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 5749 to Bayern Kingstown Arena. Gergő Puskás was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Piet Sielhof and Rodrigo León. The following players had been chosen by Kingstown: Wilhellam - Bergmann, Daley, Fernandez - Rodriguez, Ramsey, Potter, Antoine, Julien - Ashmeade, Andrews.

Grilled's starters: Vadalà - Panigrahi, Law, Lunde - 田宮 (Tamiya), Jaška, Chuan Yong, Tran, Mangoye - Velho, Mudaliar.

3-5-2 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Kingstown took a solid (7) creative approach on the field. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their magical (18) level with that tactic. Dwight Andrews neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to Leon Antoine who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. 26 minutes into the match, the visiting Grilled made the score 0 - 1 after Bhavya Panigrahi executed a perfect free kick. Dante Tran went down after twisting his left ankle after 27 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. Dan Alstani had already been warming up, and came on for Dante Tran. After 31 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Teo Chuan Yong a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Vikram Mudaliar who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3. After 36 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Cameron Law, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 4. 39 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak (4) level of organisation. Dwight Andrews challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 40 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

The Grilled players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid (7) organisation when the game started again. José Luiz Velho was, after 58 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Calvin Wilhellam made the save. Teo Chuan Yong would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Moey Xin Seng entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 60 minutes. After 62 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Grilled found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak (4). It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 67 minutes, Grilled's Dan Alstani burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Radovan Jaška from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 72 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! It emerged that Dwight Andrews had hurt his right foot after 72 minutes, which led him to abandon the game. Márton Balog tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled's 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) rolled over in pain after taking a forceful blow to his upper chest. After bandaging his collarbone, the medics led him off the field. This gave Heng Dong Chu a chance to take to the field instead. After 81 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed José Luiz Velho to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from José Luiz Velho after 82 minutes, and prevented Grilled from going up another goal. After 87 minutes, the Kingstown coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Sean Rodriguez off the field. Joonas Sinkkonen took his place. As the 88 minute mark approached, the Kingstown coach decided it was time for a substitution. Calvin Wilhellam reluctantly made way for Joe Malone on the pitch. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 4 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 0 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 63 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Kingstown player was without a doubt Andre Ashmeade. Pius Bergmann on the other hand, had a terrible day. Vikram Mudaliar performed admirably for Grilled. Dan Alstani was a disappointment, however.
