Brussels Bound Wu
Farmer Bunnies' prospective playmaker Wu Yeng Kwang left for Belgium on a free transfer, as Robbin Plets of the newly-inaugurated The Belgian Brussels City Club inducted twelve trainees from all over the world, in a single day. If the VI.113 club follow the same trajectory as their primary affiliates Les Joyeux Purple White Boys, this should mean a stable environment for the 17 year-old.
Wu admitted that his desire for adventure had led him to accept the Brussels bid, over a similar one from Woodlands-based Division Three outfit Upright Stick of Justice. "Upright Stick is definitely one of the most exciting places to be in Singapore, it's just that... it's still Singapore." Wu explained. "Instead, now I get to see the world!"
Rancher Rabbits scout Yip De Da wouldn't hide that Wu was one of the academy's greatest hopes for the year. "Yeng Kwang's pacy, knows how to set up plays, and can even defend and take set-pieces a bit." Yip assessed. "Maybe he's not in the very top tier of youth stars, but he should have as good a shot at making it big as any."
