explosion team fielded a 5-4-1 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+4) (24) ability to attack in the middle. A penalty was given after 11 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 0 - 1.
Mateja Jeftić was the scorer. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 15 minutes, Grilled's
Kalle ter Berg burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. With 17 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
José Luiz Velho of Grilled to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. The visitors'
Kalki Parvathaneni took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 19 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Grilled. After 22 minutes, Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni swiftly ran past
See Beng Guang and nutmegged the keeper! 0 - 5. After 24 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
Moey Xin Seng, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 6. Halftime score was 0 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 77 percent of the ball.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
José Luiz Velho reluctantly made way for
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) on the pitch. The Grilled free kick 51 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya), who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 7! 65 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Prokop Mottl gave
吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) a quick hug as he left the field. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
Sølve Lunde after 65 minutes, and prevented Grilled from going up another goal. After 70 minutes,
Tong Yi Tong slowly got up on his feet, clutching his left thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on.
Mateja Jeftić would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Gilbert Webb entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 80 minutes. With
Mateja Jeftić no longer on the pitch,
Bhavya Panigrahi became the new set pieces taker. The visitors added to their lead 81 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 8. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
Kalki Parvathaneni from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 0 - 8. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.
Most important explosion player was
Neo Feng Chin.
Low Xin Kok turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Kalki Parvathaneni.
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) on the other hand, had a terrible day.
