Nasiruddin's Peruvian Villa
17 year-old Farmer Bunnies youth player Syamsulhadi Nasiruddin moved to Peruvian IV.1 club VILLA SAMEGUA on a free transfer today, as Diego Leal restocked his squad after flogging Luigi Grippo and Folmer Bjerregaard off, several days ago. It was testament to SAMEGUA's development pipeline that the 19 year-olds fetched around S$3 million each, and Leal has promised similar progress for Nasiruddin and fellow newbies Halit Gedik and Damian Rykaczewski.
"That's if they train as instructed, of course." the Spaniard added. "But it really isn't all that complicated."
Nasiruddin's scout Ooi Long Ming described the lad as a passable fullback, whose adeptness at passing himself out of tight situations was probably his biggest asset. "Syamsul really needs to have an understanding with his teammates, but once he has that, it all opens up for him." Ooi noted. "It would help if he becomes more approachable, from what I have heard."
