Reddy For Action
17 year-old Chicken Wings player Brian Reddy will start plying his trade for English Division Six club AFC Silkmen, with Rich Adshead recruiting his first crop of trainees. Reddy, who can play all across the midfield, had been described as a master of improvisation by his coaches.
"I don't think he ever learnt most of his moves from anywhere." Grilled Birds assistant coach Nuh Alawee Ramli remarked. "Perhaps that's why so many of them don't turn out like he was expecting. But the opponents tend to be surprised too, I'll give him that."
That didn't prevent Ethopian third divisioners Johan Forever from keeping him on file, that said, and local Ang Mo Kio outfit Galactic Eagles CF - currently flying high in III.13 - were reportedly watching his progress closely too. In the end, it was Canadian Division Four side Niagara Loyalist who were on the verge of signing Reddy, until the Silkmen stepped in.
Reddy himself is just hoping to be named in the squad either for today's friendly at Pub IS in Sweden, or in the league against Rangers9. "From what Mr. Adshead said, they'll be experimenting a lot. So why not?"
