The 7374 fans in attendance at Factor Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Viktor Pirožinský was the appointed referee with assistance provided by 凌 (Ling) 舜发 (Shunfa) and Jimmy Henriksen. It was a sunny day and the technical players could roll the ball around with ease. Those that had to chase after the ball found the weather less appealing, it especially stymied the game of Powerful and Quick players. Factor FC entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine level with that tactic. 23 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Factor was Ilija Ivanov. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Grilled's Chan Ze Han put the ball in the onion bag after 31 minutes to make it 1 - 1. 34 minutes in, Grilled's José Luiz Velho received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 37 minutes allowed Moey Xin Seng to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 1 - 2. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid. At last, Grilled's Bernie Egan was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 3. Grilled increased their lead after 39 minutes when Prokop Mottl broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. A drive down the left side allowed José Luiz Velho to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 42 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 5. 1 - 5 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Bhavya Panigrahi came on for Islom Davlatov. Vikram Mudaliar could have put his team up another goal 48 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. After 53 minutes, Grilled's Moey Xin Seng burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 6. After 54 minutes of play, Grilled's Jérémy Tarin unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all and Bernie Egan slotted it into the net for 1 - 7. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The visitors' Bernie Egan took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 56 minutes into the match. 1 - 8 for Grilled. At that, Bernie Egan was noted down for a hat trick! After 68 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for José Luiz Velho who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 9. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Mohd Jafni Abdul Majid reluctantly made way for 雄輝 (Yuki) 入江 (Irie) on the pitch. After 88 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Prokop Mottl off the field. Pompeo Bellamoli took his place. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 1 - 9. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

Factor's best player was Rūstis Viščiulis. Cai Janson von der Stockheide was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Moey Xin Seng. Pompeo Bellamoli turned in a dismal performance, however.
