The home side's Chan Ze Han" class="homeplayer">Chan Ze Han came close to extending the lead 35 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Mahmoud Mohd Faisol managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Grilled's Hoàng Trung Quá increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 36 minutes. Sng Keong Hao finished off the counterattack of Cloudz from the left rather easily, making the score 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 77 percent of the time.

After 57 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Grilled was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Chu Xin Lee" class="homeplayer">Chu Xin Lee wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) after 60 minutes. With 65 minutes played, Hoàng Trung Quá could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. A bit later, Cloudz's Sng Keong Hao easily reduced the lead to 3 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Florus Romijn's speed was clear to see after 78 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released Chan Ze Han" class="homeplayer">Chan Ze Han who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 4 - 2. A great save by keeper Mahmoud Mohd Faisol after 83 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Kalki Parvathaneni" class="homeplayer">Kalki Parvathaneni struck from the left with a real cannonball. 84 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) broke through, making the score 5 - 2 for Grilled.
