No Hangups
It might have taken longer than he would have wished, but former Chicken Wings player Anthony Hung was just delighted to secure an apprentice contract with Belgian Division Six side Fc Limburgse Jager, after six weeks of waiting.
Although Hung has not exactly set the U-20 scene alight, Jager's young Aussie head coach Ryan Washbrook apparently liked his dedication to intelligent passing, and his penchant for taking set-pieces.
Tham Leng Tack agreed with Washbrook's assessment of the seventeen-going-eighteen year-old. "Hung's not the fastest runner you'll find, but he excels in tight spaces. He's got some growing to do, which should help him hold his own."
Hung was joined at Jager by Grilled International's Kamarul Nizam bin Hj Mohd Noh, who fancies himself a defensive midfielder in the mould of Gattuso. He squeezed his way into the Bees squad after getting rejected by Kopites Athletic FC, and if his progress since then is anything to go by, he might yet surprise.
"Kamarul's a battler, there's no better description for him." Bees scout Zulfadly bin Hj Ratano offered. "All he needs is a team to believe in him."
