RockS 4 - 1 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Shark Hotel saw a crowd turnout of 3719. Tino Oehri was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thor Bredskog and Thorsten Gurin. They fielded: Dickhaupt - Irigoyen, Ngahiwi, Plaza, Punaba, Edenbom - Kramarczyk, Gl, Zorgani - Baumller, Nardelli.

Lineup: Seng - van der Ban, Tarin, Bakhtiar - Trung Qu, Parvathaneni, Saliman, Xin Lee, Tran - Xin Seng, Muthyala.

Rockdale Sharks entered the field in a 5-3-2 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 3-5-2 lineup. Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of RockS, taking advantage of their formidable level with that tactic. 2 minutes in, the unpredictable D. Tran of Grilled turned and curled the ball towards goal, but it flew inches wide of the post, almost taking out a member of the crowd! The counterattacks of RockS were deadly and 6 minutes into the game, A. Baumller received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 1 - 0. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, RockS's A. Kramarczyk somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for A. Baumller, who struck for 2 - 0. The visitors got a chance to pull one back after 13 minutes, as the home defence went to sleep, leaving H. Trung Qu completely unmarked in the middle. His strike was pathetic though, and dribbled into the arms of the home side's keeper. RockS caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 14 minutes into the match. G. Ngahiwi was able to finish off the move - 3 - 0. 16 minutes into the game RockS managed a counterattack, but A. Kramarczyk took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. F. Nardelli of RockS received a yellow card after 18 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. W. Zorgani increased the lead for RockS to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The RockS players could smell victory in the air. J. Irigoyen wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Satchwell after 52 minutes. After 60 minutes, RockS felt secure enough to make a tactical change. H. Dickhaupt and G. Plaza assumed each others positions on the field. The coach of RockS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 61 minutes, R. Quigley came on for H. Dickhaupt. Grilled kept trying to force their way through on the right side and D. Tran got his chance after 61 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. A. Baumller wanted to play on, but the RockS coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 67 minutes into the game by O. Wilkshire. A spectacular volley from J. Tarin almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and N. Muthyala could only knock the loose ball wide. With 82 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Grilled showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 4 - 1 when H. Trung Qu got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. With 83 minutes of the game having been played, R. Quigley received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. RockS, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. 84 minutes in, C. Xin Lee made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but G. Plaza refused to let the ball slip by him. 85 minutes in, Grilled's N. Muthyala received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 4 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

RockS's best player was F. Nardelli. G. Satchwell on the other hand, had a terrible day. M. Saliman performed admirably for Grilled. H. Bakhtiar was a disappointment, however.
