WADOATOC 7 - 0 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> A scorching day at WADOATOC Arena, where 3504 spectators were in place for today's match. Allan Kriesler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ilgonis Baltiņš and Ole Kling-Spötzl. The following players had been chosen: Güralp - Mathiasson, Ledeatt, Mekki, Greene - Mitterhuber, Vernon, Hermiz, Montonen, Lamarinas - Brenneis.

Lineup: Seng - van der Ban, bin Ahmad, Bakhtiar - Trung Quá, Parvathaneni, Xin Seng, Xin Lee, Tran - Bellamoli, Saliman.

WADOATOC started the game in a 4-5-1 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. WADOATOC immediately set off using their excellent skill at pressing their opponents. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, C. Brenneis scored for WADOATOC putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 7 minutes. WADOATOC increased the lead as J. Ledeatt struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. WADOATOC's O. Hermiz refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 30 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as WADOATOC scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for C. Brenneis after 32 minutes. 33 minutes in, WADOATOC's O. Hermiz received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. WADOATOC pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. 39 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when WADOATOC's O. Hermiz received his second yellow card and was sent off. After 40 minutes, M. Mitterhuber put WADOATOC ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. P. Bellamoli enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Halftime score was 4 - 0. WADOATOC had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

52 minutes into the match K. Mekki put WADOATOC ahead 5 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. WADOATOC put themselves up 6 - 0 when C. Vernon broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The pressing tactics used by WADOATOC were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. With 75 minutes played, WADOATOC put themselves up 7 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to P. Lamarinas, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The bench was restless, and with 85 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave S. Fu the opportunity the player had been hoping for. M. Saliman reluctantly left the field. After 85 minutes, Grilled switched P. Bellamoli with C. Awyong, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 85 minutes R. bin Ahmad made way for M. Abdul Majid. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 7 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to WADOATOC, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

WADOATOC's best player was C. Vernon. S. Greene on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt K. Parvathaneni. However, H. Bakhtiar made a disastrous appearance.
