CoCoTeaTree 3 - 0 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> 50244 punters turned up at The Nut House, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Bonifacijus Tomaševskis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Birol Onar and Felicio Amarelo. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Jurong derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. They fielded: Brodawka - Evangelista, Hochet, Ying Xin, Tse Teck, Rădiţă - Fatt, Chan, Yasir, Laye - Kuan Wai.

The following players had been chosen: Batâr - Trung Quá, Filippone - Leong Kum, Muthyala, 中北 (Nakakita), Saliman, Won - Xin Seng, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Isufi.

CoCoTeaTree Islanders started the game in a 5-4-1 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. CoCoTeaTree mostly relied on their utopian long range shooting ability. Grilled clearly preferred using their magical ability to attack in the middle. 2 minutes into the game, CoCoTeaTree wanted to bring some new energy to their game. K. Kuan Wai gave V. Apostol a quick hug as he left the field. After 6 minutes CoCoTeaTree showed the crowd a glorious passing play which put M. Laye in a perfect shooting position. His low hard shot was just as glorious, placed just inside the keeper's right post making it 1 - 0. The referee showed Grilled's C. Won the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. CoCoTeaTree's V. Apostol went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's C. Won was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. D. Tran was given a chance to change things around. Content with how the game was proceeding, the CoCoTeaTree coach let M. Dod replace R. Brodawka after 60 minutes. After 70 minutes, Grilled switched G. Filippone with R. bin Ahmad, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. As G. Filippone left the field, the coach signaled to R. Isufi to be the new set pieces taker. With 70 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. L. Wan Kang came on, 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) had to leave the fray. H. Trung Quá was handed the Grilled captain's armband. A well placed corner kick from M. Yasir was followed by V. Apostol's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for CoCoTeaTree, the score now 2 - 0. G. Evangelista held up a CoCoTeaTree attack after 82 minutes, waited until M. Laye was in shooting position, and then elegantly set him up. M. Laye didn't disappoint his team mates, and from a distance he curled the ball with precision to the right of the keeper making it 3 - 0. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minute of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 3 - 0. CoCoTeaTree claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Most important CoCoTeaTree player was M. Dod. P. Fatt on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt R. Isufi. However, D. Tran made a disastrous appearance.
