Raversiede 1 - 0 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> 4833 spectators had found their way to Westland Arena, despite the heavy rain. Michael Weilharter was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sezer nem and Emmanuel Baudry. Raversiede started off with a 5-3-2 lineup. They fielded: Kassem - Ivanov, Dargent, Vincent, Mpoukoyiannis, Andreassen - Tekin, Van Lierde, Videnov - Cornu, De Saeger.

Grilled decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players had been chosen: Batr - van der Ban, bin Ahmad, Trung Qu, Bakhtiar - Saliman, Xin Lee, Xin Seng, Parvathaneni, Won - Wan Kang.

For their match strategy, Raversiede had decided to use their world class ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Grilled showed off their creative tactics. Grilled's Valentin Batr left the field after 3 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Krystian Rykowski. Filip Ivanov slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. As the 30 minute mark approached, the Raversiede coach decided it was time for a substitution. Nicolas Vincent reluctantly made way for Kobe Defrre on the pitch. Nicolas Vincent was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Kobe Defrre got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Mitsos Mpoukoyiannis would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Nico Van Keer entered the game for Raversiede as the match clock showed 30 minutes. After 31 minutes of play, Veselin Videnov gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Jasper Van Lierde didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. With 38 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Raversiede resulted in a counterattack that set Nico Van Keer free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. 40 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. Christen Andreassen behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 43 minutes as he gave the ball away to Mohammad Ramli Saliman. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Chu Xin Lee" class="awayplayer">Chu Xin Lee made a run for the goal 43 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end. With the clock showing 44 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Raversiede resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by Veselin Videnov in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

During the break, Grilled's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave Colby Awyong the opportunity the player had been hoping for. Hilal Bakhtiar" class="awayplayer">Hilal Bakhtiar reluctantly left the field. With 46 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. Hariharan Prabhu came on, Clark Won had to leave the fray. After 55 minutes Raversiede's Dimitry De Saeger contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Grilled were close to putting the equaliser away after 59 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to Leong Wan Kang in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. Raversiede's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 67 minutes gone, but Veselin Videnov's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Hong Trung Qu made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. Raversiede's counterattacks created a good chance for Filip Ivanov on the right after 72 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. After 76 minutes Raversiede tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, Dimitry De Saeger's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. The match ends 1 - 0. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

The most dominating Raversiede player was without a doubt Veselin Videnov. However, Robbin Cornu made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's top performer was clearly Hariharan Prabhu. On the other hand, Remco van der Ban's play was disheartening.
