Grilled had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Tian Han - 入江 (Irie), Filippone - Leong Kum, Muthyala, Saliman, 中北 (Nakakita), Aik Jia - Dvorak, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Isufi.

Earthquakes mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their divine level with that tactic. Grilled saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their utopian level with that tactic. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when R. Isufi was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 3 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! After 10 minutes, following yet another great corner, L. Aik Jia's flick on at the near post reached N. Muthyala, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. The guests almost went up by a goal after 15 minutes when N. Muthyala came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Grilled took the lead after G. Dvorak curved a free kick into the net. 0 - 1 The referee showed Earthquakes's I. Aldabalde the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave E. Borch from Earthquakes a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unfortunately for Grilled, G. Filippone was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. H. Trung Quá replaced him. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

Grilled had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Earthquakes's D. Dunkel was shown a yellow card after 65 minutes for slicing down an opponent. As usual, L. Long Chi tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. G. Dvorak was, after 77 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper F. Chiara made the save. Players in Grilled heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. After 82 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed L. Aik Jia to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. N. Muthyala of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. R. Isufi wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 88 minutes into the game by M. bin Mohd Kassim. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, V. Batâr came on for W. Tian Han. The match ends 0 - 2. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Earthquakes's best player was F. Chiara. E. Borch was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . On the other hand, H. Trung Quá's play was disheartening.
