Kartofle tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Yrjänä - Kleene, Tomczyk, Sierra Urquijo, Dziwis - Berthelot, Dmytryszyn, Kisiel, Zemlik, Gamboa - Czudak.

Grilled clearly preferred using their divine ability to attack in the middle. Kartofle were relying on their supernatural ability to counter-attack. Grilled took the lead 12 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as R. Isufi elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. The home team will be cursing K. Czudak for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 22 minutes. Kartofle almost scored after a swift counterattack 35 minutes into the game, but Z. Gamboa put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. 37 minutes into the match, the technically gifted 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) of Grilled scored 2 - 1, having made R. Zemlik look like a complete fool. 39 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) broke through, making the score 3 - 1 for Grilled. Grilled's C. Won was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 41 minutes into the game, Kartofle's attack got through on the right, but R. Zemlik couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. With the clock showing 43 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Kartofle resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by K. Czudak in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Grilled had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Kartofle manager used a brief break in play after 60 minutes to give the players new directives. The Kartofle coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. As the game started to slip away for Kartofle, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. The referee showed Grilled's L. Lee Hao the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 78 minutes, Kartofle used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. The Kartofle players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. With 82 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Kartofle showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 2 when A. Dmytryszyn got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Grilled to 4 - 2 as 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for 田. 勇航 (Yonghang). C. Meyer wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 87 minutes into the game by Z. Jing Wei. 88 minutes in, R. Dziwis made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but W. Tian Han refused to let the ball slip by him. The match ends 4 - 2. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

R. Isufi performed admirably for Grilled. On the other hand, H. Trung Quá's play was disheartening. Most important Kartofle player was K. Czudak. C. Sierra Urquijo was a disappointment, however.
