Fireworks 4 - 1 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> It had rained all day, but 5238 hardy fans still made it out to Sung. Nae Ganea was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Danny Kinely and Kurt Siler. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Fireworks. Starters: Park - Cailloux, Overrein, Bardini, Caiuli - Lee, Sollid, Del Bufalo, Dartanyan, Kim - Shin.

Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Seng - Bakhtiar, bin Ahmad, van der Ban - Muthyala, Xin Seng, Parvathaneni, Saliman, Isufi - Wan Kang, bin Mohd Kassim.

The guests almost went up by a goal after 13 minutes when R. van der Ban came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 18 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from S. Dartanyan, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. There was concern in the stands when, at the 22 minute mark, Grilled's R. bin Ahmad hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The home team will be cursing R. Isufi for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 29 minutes. M. Lee was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! Fireworks broke through on the left 41 minutes into the game, with O. Overrein firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

M. Saliman had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. N. Muthyala of Grilled received a yellow card after 57 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Fireworks's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing A. Cailloux to score easily from the right flank for 3 - 1. Fireworks were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 76 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by A. Cailloux. 4 - 1 for the home side. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 88 minutes N. Muthyala made way for W. Ping Shun. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's R. bin Ahmad was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. J. Cisquell was given a chance to change things around. With 89 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. D. Bgengang came on, M. bin Mohd Kassim had to leave the fray. The match ends 4 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 55 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Fireworks player was without a doubt R. Caiuli. However, J. Shin made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was W. Ping Shun. H. Bakhtiar was a disappointment, however.
