For their match strategy, Peiki had decided to use their brilliant ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Grilled had a chance to take the lead after A. A counterattack by Peiki after 14 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but M. MacMahon, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. After 22 minutes, Peiki's A. Haastrup made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. After 32 minutes, W. Ping Shun got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. The crowd was on its feet 33 minutes into the match, as Grilled's C. Meyer found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 1 - 1 equaliser. Peiki took the lead 41 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. B. Fegurouch was the scorer. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 60 percent of the ball.

47 minutes into the match, Grilled's H. Trung Quá maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. Grilled's L. Aik Jia tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Y. Genart got himself booked. The manager of Peiki was not happy. Still tied after 90 minutes, the match continued into extra time. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) to score after 105 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Peiki showed their counterattack skill 106 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with L. Duke scoring uncontested for 2 - 3. As the match clock reached 109 minutes, Peiki's organisation began to suffer due to a lack of experience. After the ball was lifted in from the left, C. Başa was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 110 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Grilled's R. Isufi showed his experience, anticipating the outcome of the opponent's defensive clearance and positioning himself perfectly to volley in an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box. 3 - 3. L. Aik Jia tried using a burst of speed to get past his defender after 114 minutes, but it takes more than that to get past fast Y. Genart. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to A. Leong Kum, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 4 - 3! Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Peiki's P. Martínez de Felipe was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 115 minutes. Z. Moravec was given a chance to change things around. M. Young became the new Peiki captain. The bench was restless, and with 115 minutes passed Peiki's coach gave E. Rickers the opportunity the player had been hoping for. A. Haastrup reluctantly left the field. The Peiki coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let K. Rykowski replace L. Lee Hao after 119 minutes. H. Trung Quá left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 119 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Dvorak was the replacement. The match ends 4 - 3. A. Leong Kum performed admirably for Grilled. K. Rykowski was a disappointment, however. Peiki's best player was M. MacMahon. However, E.
