The guests took the lead 21 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in A. Téllez scoring to make it 0 - 1. A wonderful trick by 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) that left C. Hermosillo bewildered really deserved to end in a goal but the keeper made a fine save. No matter how hard he tried, L. Lee Hao just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 28 minutes. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile A. Téllez. With 36 minutes played, after a good run down the left, L. Lee Hao went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. Grilled's C. Won was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Grilled had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.

In an effort to secure the lead, Paraguayos changed their tactic after 46 minutes. After 51 minutes, C. Meyer made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. 60 minutes into the game, Paraguayos wanted to bring some new energy to their game. A. Antúnez gave J. Serpa a quick hug as he left the field. A. Antúnez was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that R. Oda got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. The heat made it a terrible day for R. Oda, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. After 80 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Z. Jing Wei off the field. R. Isufi took his place. E. Kolesnik would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. B. Romero entered the game for Paraguayos as the match clock showed 80 minutes. The visiting A. Téllez was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 86 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. After 87 minutes of play, 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. With the scoreboard clock showing 88 minutes, the inexperienced Paraguayos team fell into disarray. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Most important Grilled player was M. bin Mohd Kassim. G. Filippone on the other hand, had a terrible day. A. Téllez performed admirably for Paraguayos. J. Serpa was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
